Frau Margaret Etling's Beerdigung

Findet morgen nachmittag von der
Ev. St. Matthäus-Kirche aus
statt.

Die Beerdigung von Frau Margaret Etling, die nach einmonatlichem Krankenlager am Mittwoch morgen im Alter von 80 Jahren, 8 Monaten und 1 Tag in ihrer Wohnung, Nr. 2616 Potomac Straße, strab, findet morgen Nachmittag vom Trauerhause und der Ev. St. Matthäus-Kirche, an Jefferson Ave. und Potomac Straße, aus auf dem St. Matthäus-Friedhofe statt.

Die Dahingeschiedene war am 2. Juli 1834 in Bayern geboren und kam in Jahre 1845 mit ihren Eltern nach den Ver. Staaten, wo sich die Familie in Süd St. Louis niederließ.  Sie verheiratete sich später mit August Etling, einem bekannten Geschäftsmann von Süd St. Louis, der zu einer Zeit Mitglied des Stadtrats war und auch in Logenfreisen eine hervorragende Rolle spielte.  Ihr Gatte ging ihr bereits am 7. Dezember 1876 im Tode voraus.  Die Ehe war mit 11 Kindern gesegnet, von denen jetzt noch drei am Leben sind.  Außer diesen betrauern 17 Enkel-, 19 Urenkel- und ein Ururenkelkind, sowie vier Brüder, Dr. John, Frederick und Eckhardt Dinsbeer in St. Louis und Simon Dinsbeer in Decatur, Ill., als nächste Anverwandte das Ableben der Dahingeschiedenen.

Frau Etling war das einzige überlebende "Charter" Mitglied des "Order of Good Ladies" und gehörte dem "Women's Relief Corp" des Hassendeubel Postens, G. A. R., den Concordia Unterstützungsverein, dem St. Matthäus-Frauenverein und der Evang. St. Matthäus-Gemeinde selbst als geschätztes Mitgleid an.

Bei der Beerdigung werden sechs Enkel as Bahrtuchträger fungieren.  Pastor H. Drees von der St. Matthäus-Kirche amtiert.

Mrs. Margaret Etling's Funeral

Takes place tomorrow afternoon
at St. Matheaus' Evangelical Church

The funeral of Mrs. Margaret Etling, who died on Wednesday morning at her home at 2616 Potomac Street at the age of 80 years, 8 months and 1 day after a month long confinement to her sick bed, takes place tomorrow afternoon from the house of mourning and St. Matheaus' Evangelical Church on Jefferson Ave. and Potomac Street and on to the St. Matheaus' Cemetery.

The deceased was born on 2 July 1834 in Bavaria and came to the United States in 1845 with her parents, where the family settled in South St. Louis.  She later married August Etling, a well known business man from South St. Louis, who was at one time a member of the City Council and also played a prominent roll in the Free Masons.  Her husband preceded her in death on 7 December 1876.  The marriage was blessed with 11 children, of whom 3 are still alive.  In addition to these, 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, as well as four brothers, Dr. John, Frederick, and Eckhardt Dinsbeer in St. Louis and Simon Dinsbeer in Decatur, Ill., as next of kin, mourn the death of the dear departed.

Mrs. Etling was the sole surviving Charter Member of the Order of Good Ladies and belonged to the Women's Relief Corp of the Hassendeubel Post, G. A. R, the Concordia Aid Society, the St. Matheaus' Ladies' Society as well as being an active member of the St. Matheaus' Evangelical Church itself.

At the funeral, six grandchildren will serve as pall-bearers.  Pastor H. Drees of St. Matheaus' Church officiates.

geb. Dinsbeer, Wittwe von August Etling, theure Mutter von Charlotte Gerber (geb. Etling), Elizabeth Wende (geb. Etling), Amelia Beyer (geb. Etling), Schwiegermutter von George L. Gerber und William F. Beyer, und unsere theure Großmutter, Urgroßmutter und Ururgroßmutter, entschlief am Mittwoch, den 3. März 1915, um 7 Uhr Morgens, im Alter von 81 Jahren.  Leichenbegängniß am Samstag, den 6. März, um 2 Uhr Nachmittags, von der Wohnung, 2616 Potomac Str., nach der St. Matthews = Kirche, alsdann nach dem St. Matthews = Friedhofe.

Die Verstorbene war Mitglied der Good Ladies' Aid Society, des Col. Hassendeubel W. R. C. No. 19, Concordia Unterstützungs = Vereins und des St. Matthews Frauenvereins.

Beyer, and our beloved grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away on Wednesday, 3 March 1915 at 7 o'clock in the morning, at the age of 81 years.  Funeral on Sunday, 6 March at 2 o'clock in the afternoon from the home, 2616 Potomac Street, to St. Matthew's Church, and then to St. Matthew's Cemetery.

The deceased was a member of the Good Ladies' Aid Society, the Col. Hassendeubel W. R. C. No. 19, Concordia Aid Society and St. Matthew's Ladies' Society.

L.; dem Concodia Unterstüßungsverein, Hassendeubel W. R. C. und dem St. Matthäus - Frauenverein, sowie allen Verwandten, Freunden und Bekannten für die rege Tehilnahme und Blumenspende.
