Someone, who's handwriting in German seems to be current with the age of the photo, has provided this information on the back of the photo:

Another person at one time decided that the couple shown in the photo were Mr. & Mrs. Hasenjaeger, but this notion appears to have been rejected.

Finally, J. W. Fiegenbaum has added the notation (Nolte). This I believe is the correct identification. It is also the one which has been confirmed by Byron Nolte's research. Heinrich Frederick Wilhelm Nolte, age 24, and Maria Charlotte Fiegenbaum, age 23, were indeed married on 30 October 1890 at Mayview, Lafayette County, Missouri.
