According to the 1930 U.S. enumeration, Franklin S. Tarbell, age 9 and attending school, lived at 329 West 3rd Street with his parents, Franklin S. Tarbell (age 43) and Lydia M. Tarbell (age 36), and three siblings: Robert S. Tarbell (age 14), William W. Tarbell (age 13), and Ella I. Tarbell (age 11).

According to the 1940 U.S. enumeration, Franklin Tarbell, age 19 and attending school, lived on a farm in Precinct 3 with his parents, Franklin S. Tarbell, a 53 year old farmer, and Lydia Tarbell, age 47, taking care of the home; and his sister, Ella Tarbell (age 21). All four members of the household had been living in the same home on 1 April 1935. Franklin had completed 4 years of high school and during the week of 24-30 March 1940 had worked for 24 hours as waiter in a school dormitory.

On 19 March 1942, Franklin, a resident of Chaves County, enlisted at Sante Fe as a Private in the Army Air Corp.

According to the 1940 U.S. enumeration, Franklin Tarbell, age 19 and attending school, lived on a farm in Precinct 3 with his parents, Franklin S. Tarbell, a 53 year old farmer, and Lydia Tarbell, age 47, taking care of the home; and his sister, Ella Tarbell (age 21). All four members of the household had been living in the same home on 1 April 1935. Birth:
There is some question about the exact date of her birth. Information provided by her son for her death certificate reported the birth as occurring on 25 October 1892. The Social Security Death index reports that the date of birth was 25 October 1893. In the 1900 U.S. census, the birth was recorded as happening in November 1892.

According to the 1900 U.S. enumeration, Lida [sic] Margart Eversole, age 7, lived in the Forked Mouth Magisterial District with her parents, McCager [sic] Eversole (age 26), a farmer, and her mother, Mahala Eversole (age 24). Also in the household were three siblings: Johnie [sic] Eversole (age 5), Marry [sic] Ann Eversole (age 2), and Taylor Eversole (age 4 months).

According to the 1910 enumeration, Liddie Eversole, age 17 and attending school, lived with her parents, Mack C. Eversole (age 33) and Mahala Eversole (age 32), as well as seven siblings: John Eversole (age 15), Mary Eversole (age 13), Calla Eversole (age 11), Taylor Eversole (age 9), Joseph Eversole (age 7), Emma Eversole (age 6), and Roy Eversole (age 4). Also in the household was Mack Davidson, a single, 18 year old farm laborer.

Died:

     According to her death certificate, Lydia was a patient in the hospital for five days before succumbing to congestive heart failure at 3:10 p.m. Cremation was to take place on 12 November at the Laurel Land Crematory, Fort Worth, Texas.
     Her usual residence was 1402 East Broad Street, Mansfield, Tarrant County, Texas.

According to a city directory published in 1917, F. Scott and Lydia Tarbell were residing at 1023 North Elwood Avenue. Scott was identified as an oil prospector.

     According to information on a World War I draft registration card for Franklin S. Tarbell (who signed his registration card as F. Scott Tarbell) filed on 5 June 1917, he lived at 1333 Fairmount, Wichita, Kansas. He reported that he was a field man for an oil company, employed by "H. E. Clark et al" and worked in Kansas and Oklahoma. He also reported that his father, mother, wife and two children were solely dependant upon him for support and on those grounds he claimed exemption from the draft.
     The Registrar of the local draft board, James N. Miller, described Franklin Scott as a tall man of slender build; with blue eyes and light colored hair. There were no other physical characteristics that would disqualify him for military service.

According to the 1920 U.S. enumeration, the household at 848 North Jefferson consisted of Scott F. Tarbell, head of household, age 32, working in the oil industry; his wife, Lydia Tarbell, age 27; and their three children: Robert Tarbell (age 4 years, 9 months); William Tarbell (age 3 years, 4 months); and Ella Ida Tarbell (age 1 year, 3 months).

According to a city directory published in 1929, F. Scott and Lydia Tarbell were residing at 328 West 4th.

Tarbell, age 36; and their four children, all attending school: Robert S. Tarbell (age 14), William W. Tarbell (age 13), Ella I. Tarbell (age 11), Franklin S. Tarbell (age 9). The family rented their home for $35 per month, and they owned a radio.

According to an obituary in 1941, William Walter Tarbell graduated in 1881 from Allegheny College. A few years later, while in the Dakotas developing "several thousand acres of wheat land," he met and married Ella Scott. At his death, he was survived by his wife, one son, Franklin S. Tarbell, of Roswell, New Mexico, and two daughters, Mrs. James Aldrich, of Brookline, Massachusetts and Mrs. Tristam Tupper, of Hollywood, California.

According the 1900 U.S. census, McCager [sic] Eversole was born in May 1874. The death date inscribed on his grave marker is 15 September 1874. According to his death certificate, he was born in 1871 (the informant did not know the month or day of birth), the son of James Eversole and Polly Combs.

According to a death certificate for Mack C. Eversole, he died of gun shot wounds suffered at his home.

Curiously, there were actually eight children living in the home, all identified as sons and daughters of Mack, the head of the household: Liddie Eversole, John Eversole, Mary Eversole, Calla Eversole, Taylor Eversole, Joseph Eversole, Emma Eversole, and Roy Eversole. Also in the household was Mack Davidson, a single, 18 year old farm laborer.
