David Louis Sternberg and Mathilda Lizzie Klingemann were "Married April 16, 1887, at Randolph County, IL (recorded at Randolph County, IL, in Book D, page #161). At the time of their marriage, David, of the Bremen Precinct in Randolph County, IL, was a 26 year old, white farmer, and was marrying for the first time. Mathilda, from the Bremen Precinct, in Randolph County, IL, was a white, 24 year old, marrying for the first time." The couple had nine children.
