Sophia Elisabeth Christina Schoppenhorst, child of Hermann Schoppenhorst and Maria Peterjohann, was born on 23 August 1842 at Hostein, Warren County, Missouri. She was baptized on 25 September 1842 at Immanuel U.C.C at Holstein, Missouri. Sophia Peterjohann was the godparent.
It would appear that this information confuses two woman who share similar names in the records of the church at Holstein, Missouri: 1) Sophia Elisabeth Christina Schoppenhorst-Stilke, Sophia Stilke or Sophia Schoppenhorst, who married Heinrich Wilhelm Aufderhaar; and 2) Sophia Elisabeth Schoppenhorst or Sophia Schoppenhorst, who married Herman Höfer.

"Sophia Aufderhar," wife of "Wilh. Aufderhar," died on 1 January 1877 at the age of 39 years, 3 months, 26 days. She was buried in cemetery 2 [i.e., the cemetery located south of and next to the brick church dedicated in 1884 at Holstein, Missouri].
Calculating from the recorded date of death and age at death, the birth date would have been 5 September 1837.
