A transcription supplied by Frances Gretchen (Klein) Leenerts of an obituary for Frank Henry Wellemeyer which she reported had appeared on Sunday, 31 [sic] March 1930 in the Beatrice Daily Sun, of Wymore, Nebraska. However, 31 March was a Monday; Sunday was on 30 March.
"Will H. Wellemeyer...died at his home here Saturday....He was 78 years old, born at Wapello, Iowa...."

"Will H. Wellemeyer, pioneer resident and business man of Wymore, died at his home here Saturday. He had been confined to his bed only for the past three days, but about six weeks ago, suffered a slight parlytic stroke. He had improved enough, however, to return to his work as a watchman at the Black Brothers Flour Mill here, and work until Tuesday of this week. He was 78 years old...."

According to a transcription of an obituary for "Mrs. W. H. Wellemeyer" [Clara Belle Yoter] reported to have appeared on 29 December 1933 in the Weekly Arbor State, of Wymore, Nebraska, William Henry Wellemeyer was buried in the Wymore Cemetery. His wife and daughter were also buried there.

Henry Frank Wellemeyer "emigrated to the United States in 1845 and settled in St. Louis, Missouri. Here he married Miss Catherine Fiegenbaum, 22 August 1847 and moved to Warrentown, Missouri where they resided for nearly three years."

"Mr. and Mrs. Wellemeyer could not reconcile the institution of slavery, which then prevailed in Missouri. With their love of personal liberty, they moved to Louisa County near Wapello, Iowa, where they resided until 1875."
