    • Earl and Linwood Jungerman, in their family genealogy, have written: "In the next three years [after emigrating to Missouri in 1855] she [Catherine] had three sons: Henry, William, and Fredrick. The youngest was not over six months old when his mother died in Germany [in 1861]. All the children remained here." A death certificate has been found for a Henry Jungermann of St. Charles Township, Missouri whose particulars seem to match the outline provided in the Jungermann genealogy.

Mother's maiden name: unknown, birth place unknown. Died 23 February 1919, at 5:25 am, in St. Charles Township, St. Charles County, Missouri at the age of 62 years, 1 month, 28 days. At the time of death, he was married to Carolina Jungermann; he was a farmer. His residence was "5 miles west of St. Charles." Principal cause of death was "arterio sclerosis [sic]" of three years duration. There was no autopsy. Burial was to be 25 February 1919 at Lutheran Cemetery. Undertaker: Steuch---ker Furniture Company, St. Charles, Missouri. Personal information provided by Carolina Jungermann, of R. R. #3, St. Charles, Missouri. Medical data provided by J. M. Jenkins, M.D., of St. Peters, Missouri., who signed the certificate on [not dated]. Filed with the registrar on 25 February 1919.
