His usual residence was 4003 Montgall Avenue, Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri. He had lived in the community for 30 years. He was widowed at the time of death; his wife had been "Georgia B. Knapheide." His usual occupation was attorney and accountant; he was retired. He had not served in the U.S. armed forces. He had no social security number. Immediate cause of death was "Coronary Thrombosis" (duration of 7 days). Other conditions were "Diabetes Mellitus." Removal was to be 21 February 1944 for burial at Russellville, Missouri. The funeral director was D. W. Newcomer's sons, of 1401 Brush Creek Blvd. Personal information was provided by Miss Aneta [sic] Knapheide, of Fayette, Missouri. H. C. [Triffe?], M.D., of 1022 Argyle Bldg., had attended the deceased from 11 February 1944 to 18 February 1944 and signed the death certificate on 19 February 1944.
