Figge" and "Fredericka Wilhelmine Sophi [sic] Ashauer" received a marriage license in Madison County, Illinois on 28 September 1879 and were married on or about time.
           When enumerated for the 1900 U.S. census, Charles and Fredericka were identified as having been married for 20 years. They were the parents of three children, two of whom were still living.

      Accessed in March 2012. According to the index, "Charles H. Figge" and "Fredericka Wilhelmine Sophi [sic] Ashauer" were granted marriage license 34 (volume 8, page 52) in Madison County, Illinois on 28 September 1879. The marriage may or may not have taken place on the same date.
           This same data is captured in the Illinois, Marriage Index, 1860-1920 database at Ancestry.com, but lacks the caution that the date is when the license was issued and may not be when the marriage took place.
