    • Heinrich and Florentine's marriage is recorded in the archives of the German Evangelical Church on Charrette in Holstein, Missouri (known since 1957 as Immanuels United Church of Christ). "Parents & brothers & sisters of couple" were listed as the witnesses. Heinrich and Florentine set up housekeeping on a farm in Camp Branch Township, Warren County, not far from Truxton. It was here that all nine of their children were born.

    •      According to the record of the marriage license filed with the Warren County Recorder of Deeds filed on 28 February, L. H. H. Winter, minister of the Gospel married Herman and Alma at New Truxton. Rev. Winter was no doubt Louis Hermann Heinrich Winter, a pastor in the German Methodist Episcopal Church and Alma's elder brother. In 1906, Rev. Winter had married Alma's older sister, Meta Chritina Winter, and Heinrich Friedrich Adolph Mordt.
           Herman and Alma lived on a farm near Truxton, Missouri until 1946, when they moved to Troy, Missouri. They were the parents of fourteen children.

           A marriage license (page 162) issued at Warrenton, Warren County, Missouri on 21 February 1908 to Herman A. Luelf, of Hawkpoint [sic] P.O., Warren County, Missouri, who was over the age of 21 years and Miss Alma Winter, of Truxton P.O., Warren [sic] County, Missouri, who was over the age of 18 years.
         The return certified that L. H. H. Winter "a Minister of the Gospel" did marry the above name persons at New Truxton, Warren County, on 26 February 1908 and filed the Certificate of Marriage with the Recorder of Deeds on 28 February 1908.
           According to calculations based on the data in this document, Alma F. Winter would have been born about 1886-1887.

Alvina states that all nine of Henry and Florentine's children were born on this farm.
