- [S104] Personal communication, letter from Hermanda (Lagemann) Fiegenbaum on 15 September 1996 to J. W. Fiegenbaum.
"One Fiegenbaum, Tonies Manuel, born May 6. 1717 in Ladbergen, think it was a second cousin to our forefathers, went about in 1755 or later with his son Cord Hermann to Holland. He had there a export business with tobacco and cigar and must have made a lot of money. He often came back to Ladbergen - his daughter was married there - and he gave money to other people to buy ground or houses. That we found in the mortage books."
