      "Sometime during 1836 the decision was made by Johann Heinrich and Anna Catharina Elisabeth to move their family from the community of Lienen Kreis Tecklenburg, Westfalen to the New World....The Uthlaut family arrived in the New World via the Port of New Orleans in November of 1836 as indicated in the Passenger and Immigration Lists Index for that year. Johann and Anna Catherina's [sic] children that made the trip with them included Conrad Ernst, Heinrich Rudolf, Friederika Sophia, Sophia Elisabeth Frederika, Friedrich Wilhelm Herman and Wilhelm Jacob."
