The 1860 U.S. Census enumeration shows two children in the household who do not appear in subsequent census returns: John Winter, age 3 (born about 1856-57) and Christina Winter, age 1 (born about 1858-59). These names are also not included in genealogical reports from other researchers. It is not known at this time if these are children of Simon and Christina who died in infancy or were only temporary members of the household in 1860.
