"Edwardsville - Mrs. Mary Springer Fiegenbaum, 87, widow of the late Dr. Edward Fiegenbaum, a practicing physician here for many years, died at 5:30 a.m. today at her residence, 423 Center."
"Surviving [Mrs. Mary Springer Fiegenbaum] are a daughter, Mrs. A. W. McCally, wife of a Dayton, O., physician and a sister, Miss Josephine Springer of Edwardsville, who had resided with Mrs. Fiegenbaum. Also surviving are six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren."

William McKendreeThompson Springer and Margaret Jane Barber; married 7 January 1857 in Decatur, Illinois, where Margaret's step-father, Rev. Joel Knight was preaching. Margaret was the daughter of John Barber, Jr. and Eliza Robinson Barber. William M. T. and Margaret (Barber) Springer "lived on the old home place" [in Fort Russell Township (Madison County), Illinois] and had six children.
