Mother's maiden name: Florentina Staake; born in Germany. Died at 9:00 a.m. on 19 April 1916 in Elkhorn Township, Warren County, Missouri at the age of 63 years, 5 months, 26 days. He was married at the time of death; name of spouse not provided. His usual occupation was farmer. Cause of death was "Second Stroke of Apoplexy" (1 month, 19 days duration). Burial, or removal was to be 22 April 1916 in "Warrenton City Cem." The undertaker was F. W. Nieburg, of Warrenton, Missouri. Personal information was provided by Geo. Poeppelmeyer. Pr.N., of Warrenton, Missouri. John H. Dyer, M.D., of Warrenton, Missouri, had attended the deceased from 9 March 1916 to 19 April 1916 and signed the death certificate on 21 April 1916. Frances Bonney did not identify the family that reported the husband's surname as Poeppelmeyer and referred (on pages 109 & 113) to the will of Ernst Wilhelm Knapheide in which he bequethed $5.00 each to his surviving children, among whom he mentionde "Wilhelmina, wife of Schoffeleyer" [sic]. (Bonney cited Wills of Warren County, Warrenton, Missouri. Book 1869-1891, page 322.)
