    Birth:
    Olga's birth date has been taken from her death certificate. The informant, John K. Brockmeyer, lived at the same residence as Olga (2301 South Broadway, St. Louis, Missouri) and was no doubt her husband. He identified Olga's father as Henry Plate, but did not know the maiden name of Olga's mother.

    Buried:
    According to her death certificate, Olga was to be buried on 22 May 1952 at Mount Hope Cemetery.

    Died:
    According to her death certificate, Olga died in St. Louis City Hospital #1 at 2:30 p.m. The condition directly leading to her death was "Carcinomatosis," preceded by "Carcinoma of Gall Bladder" (durations were not recorded). Dr. Gerald L. Smith, who signed the death certificate, attended Olga from 15 May to 18 May 1952.

    Married:
    According to the 1930 U.S. census, John had been age 20 at his marriage, and Olga had been age 21. By calculation from other data in the census, they had been married about 18 years, the wedding taking place about 1911-1912.

    Residence (family):
    According to information on his World War I draft registration card, filed on 5 June 1917, John C. Brockmeyer lived at 3426 Gravois, St. Louis, Missouri. John reported that he was an cigar maker, employed by Charles H. Meyer, St. Louis, Missouri; that he was married with two children; and that he was seeking exemption from the draft because he was "Deaf + Dumb." The Registrar of the local draft board, F. W. Clemson, described John as five feet, seven inches tall and of a slender build; with blue eyes and brown hair. He noted that John was disabled because he was "Dief & Dumm."

    Census (family):
    According to the 1920 U.S. enumeration, the household at 6421 Mount Avenue consisted of John C. Brockmeyer, a 27 year old machinist and head of household, his wife, Olga Brockmeyer, age 28, and their two children: Helen I. Brockmeyer, age 5, and John C. Brockmeyer, age 3. Also living in the home was Katie Ambrose, identified as a 37 year old sister-in-law of the head of household, married and working as a laundress.

    Census (family):
    According to the 1930 U.S. enumeration, the household at 2132 South Fourth in Ward 13 consisted of John Brockmeyer, head of household, a 38 year old laborer in a cooperage, his wife, Olga Brockmeyer, age 39, and three of their children: Bernice (age 9), Ruth (age 6) and Doris (age 2).
