According to marriage records in Lafayette County, Missouri, "Julius F. Rechtermann," of Mayview, Missouri, and "Laura E. Starkebaum," of Mayview, Missouri, received a marriage license at Lexington on 25 March 1919 and they were married on 30 March 1919 at Mayview by Theophil Berlekamp.

Immigration:

     According to Nolte family tradition, Friedericke Wilhelmine emigrated to the USA from England about 1867 or 1868 as part of an extended family group, which included her father, Wilhelm, her mother, Maria and her older brother, Heinrich Frederick; also, her grandfather, Frederick Nolte; and her uncle, Carl Nolte.
     Accompanying the Nolte family was her married aunt, Dorothea Friederike Henriette (Nolte) Rabius, her husband, Heinrich Rabius, and Herman Rabius, brother of Heinrich.
     It would appear that Heinrich and Friederieke (Nolte) Rabius stopped at Louisville, Kentucky in May 1868 for the birth of their son (and only child), Gustav H. Rabius. By 1869 the family had arrived in Lafayette County, Missouri.
     It is not known whether all of this extended family stopped in Louisville, or if some members traveled directly to Missouri and arrived before 1869.

According to his death certificate, August was born at Hopewell, a settled area just north of Holstein.

According to personal information provided for the death certificate by Daniel Starkebaum, August was to be buried on 8 September 1946 in the "Evangelical Cemetery." This is very probably a reference to the cemetery associated with the congregation at Higginsville, Missouri, known since 1957 as Salem United Church of Christ.

Died:
According to his death certificate, August died at 12:05 a.m. in rural Dover Township, outside of Higginsville. He had been a resident of the community for fifty years. The cause of death was cerebral thrombosis due to chronic myocarditis and chronic nephritis, both of several years duration.

August married Frerking, Augusta Rosette 11 Apr 1889. Augusta (daughter of Frerking, Cheuncy and Dierks, Rosetta Martha) was born 2 Dec 1866, Concordia, Lafayette County, Missouri, USA; died 3 Mar 1936, Higginsville, Lafayette County, Missouri, USA; was buried 5 Mar 1936, Higginsville, Lafayette County, Missouri, USA. According to information provided by August Starkebaum for the death certificate, "Mrs. Agusta [sic] Starkebaum" was to be buried on 5 March 1936 in the Evangelical Cemetery. This was very probably the cemetery associated with the congregation at Higginsville, Missouri, known since 1957 as Salem United Church of Christ.

Died:
According to her death certificate, Augusta had suffered for several years from "Carcinoma of left breast with Matastasis in stomach, pleura, and oesophagus."
