         In 1940, Paxton obtained a bachelor of science degree in library science from George Peabody College for Teachers, at Nashville, Tennessee. At the time of his first marriage, Lieutenant Price was assistant librarian at the New Mexico Military Institute, at Roswell, New Mexico. Following service overseas in the Army during World War II, he was a librarian at Northwest Missouri State College at Maryville, Missouri; was Missouri State Librarian for 15 years; served as Chief of Library Services and Construction in the U.S Office of Education at Washington, D.C.; and was Director of the St. Louis Public Library.


    Died:
    Paxton died at his home in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains near Las Vegas, New Mexico. A memorial service was held on 7 February 2009, at Las Vegas.

    There is some question about the exact date of her birth. Information provided by her son for her death certificate reported the birth as occurring on 25 October 1892. The Social Security Death index reports that the date of birth was 25 October 1893. In the 1900 U.S. census, the birth was recorded as happening in November 1892.

    According to the 1900 U.S. enumeration, Lida [sic] Margart Eversole, age 7, lived in the Forked Mouth Magisterial District with her parents, McCager [sic] Eversole (age 26), a farmer, and her mother, Mahala Eversole (age 24). Also in the household were three siblings: Johnie [sic] Eversole (age 5), Marry [sic] Ann Eversole (age 2), and Taylor Eversole (age 4 months).

    According to the 1910 enumeration, Liddie Eversole, age 17 and attending school, lived with her parents, Mack C. Eversole (age 33) and Mahala Eversole (age 32), as well as seven siblings: John Eversole (age 15), Mary Eversole (age 13), Calla Eversole (age 11), Taylor Eversole (age 9), Joseph Eversole (age 7), Emma Eversole (age 6), and Roy Eversole (age 4). Also in the household was Mack Davidson, a single, 18 year old farm laborer.

         According to her death certificate, Lydia was a patient in the hospital for five days before succumbing to congestive heart failure at 3:10 p.m. Cremation was to take place on 12 November at the Laurel Land Crematory, Fort Worth, Texas.
         Her usual residence was 1402 East Broad Street, Mansfield, Tarrant County, Texas.

    According to a city directory published in 1917, F. Scott and Lydia Tarbell were residing at 1023 North Elwood Avenue. Scott was identified as an oil prospector.

         According to information on a World War I draft registration card for Franklin S. Tarbell (who signed his registration card as F. Scott Tarbell) filed on 5 June 1917, he lived at 1333 Fairmount, Wichita, Kansas. He reported that he was a field man for an oil company, employed by "H. E. Clark et al" and worked in Kansas and Oklahoma. He also reported that his father, mother, wife and two children were solely dependant upon him for support and on those grounds he claimed exemption from the draft.
         The Registrar of the local draft board, James N. Miller, described Franklin Scott as a tall man of slender build; with blue eyes and light colored hair. There were no other physical characteristics that would disqualify him for military service.

    According to an obituary in 1941, William Walter Tarbell graduated in 1881 from Allegheny College. A few years later, while in the Dakotas developing "several thousand acres of wheat land," he met and married Ella Scott. At his death, he was survived by his wife, one son, Franklin S. Tarbell, of Roswell, New Mexico, and two daughters, Mrs. James Aldrich, of Brookline, Massachusetts and Mrs. Tristam Tupper, of Hollywood, California.
