    According to the 1900 U.S. census enumeration of the German Protestant Orphan Asylum, on Highland Avenue, at Cincinnati, Ohio, the superintendent, Herman Rabius and his wife, Lizzetta Rabius, had been married for 24 years and Lizzetta was the mother of four children, all of whom were still living. Based on this information, the marriage would have taken place about 1875 or 1876.
