According to her death certificate, Pauline was to be buried in the cemetery of Zion Methodist Church.

Died:
According to her death certificate, Pauline died from chronic cardiovascular disease at St. Francis Hospital, at Washington, Franklin County, Missouri, after of stay of six days. Dr. H. Walter Eyermann, who signed the death certificate and had attended Pauline since 1954, noted that other factors contributing to the death were chronic arthritis, senility and malnutrition.

According to marriage records in Lincoln County, Missouri, "F. E. Winter" and "Pauline Scheppman," both of Truxton, Lincoln County, Missouri, received a marriage license at Troy, Missouri on 14 November 1912 and they were married on 20 November 1912 at the bride's home by Rev. J. Dollonl, "a resident pastor of the E. Church, [----], Truxton, Missouri."

Florence Ernest Winter registered for the U.S. military draft on 5 June 1917 in Lincoln County, Missouri. According to information on the draft registration card, he was 30 years old, born on 28 October 1886 at Truxton, Missouri. He was currently living and farming in Truxton, Missouri. He was married and had two children. He claimed an exemption from the draft because of his wife and children. The registrar described Fred as of medium height and build with light blue eyes and light brown hair; he was not bald. He had no physical disabilities.
