His usual residence was Holstein, Warren County, Missouri. He had lived in the community for his entire life. He was widowed at the time of death. His usual occupation was farmer. Immediate cause of death was "Chr. Nephritis" (2 years duration). Due to "also mitral regurgitation" (2 years duration). Burial was to be 26 May 1944 Holstein, Missouri. The funeral director was F. W. Nieburg, Co., of Warrenton, Missouri. Personal information was provided by Otto Knapheide, of Treloar, Missouri. G. C. Johnson, MD, of Marthasville, [Missouri], had attended the deceased from 1 October 1943 to 23 May 1944 and signed the death certificate [no date supplied]. The certificate was received by the local registrar on 25 May 1944.
