      Gustav Adolph Schroer, child of "Herm. Heinr." Schroer and "Mar. Wilh. Spahrenberg," was born on 30 July 1864 and baptized on 4 September 1864. Page [sic] 991 of the original source.
           In this transcription of the baptism records, the abbreviation "WC" follows the names of the parents. According to the introduction, this stands for "Warren County," which seems to indicate that the family did not live in St. Charles County, Missouri.
