Heinrich Friedrich Hermann Vahrenberg, son of Johann Heinrich Vahrenberg (1821-1871) and Wilhelmine Henriette, nee Theiss-Bartold (1824-1892), was born in 1847. He emigrated in 1855 from "Brake, Lippe Detmold" with his paternal grandfather, his parents, and three siblings.
