    Sarah, at a very young age, and her parents, moved to Jones' Fort in then St. Clair County, Illinois (the site was about 4 miles south of present day Greenville, on Shoal Creek). The Springer family was accompanied by other families from Washington County, Kentucky and under the leadership of the pioneer Baptist minister, Reverend William Jones.

    Sarah married Davidson, Isham Gillham 4 Oct 1826, Madison County, Illinois, USA. Isham (son of Davidson, William Coke and Bankhead, Hannah) was born 11 Nov 1802, South Carolina, USA; died 17 Jan 1878, Lewistown, Fulton County, Illinois, USA. [Group Sheet]
