    Paul August's baptism is recorded in the archives of the German Evangelical Church on Charrette, at Holstein, Missouri (known since 1957 as Immanuels United Church of Christ). The sponsors were "Andr. Flaig, Herm. Ebenrester, Mina Hinnah."

    Census:
    According to the 1880 enumeration, Paul, age 7 months, lived with his parents, Andre [sic] Bierbaum (age 28), a preacher, and Ernestine Bierbaum (age 25), and his two brothers, Herman (age 4) and Daniel (age 2). Also in the house was Conrad Koch (age 48), a teacher, and Mary Wulferkammer [sic] (age 18), a servant.

    Education:
    Paul attended the German Evangelical Proseminary (now known as Elmhurst College) from 1898-1899.

    Census (state):
    According to the 1905 Wisconsin state enumeration, Paul A. Bierbaum, age 24, a minister, was living with his parents: Andrew J. Bierbaum, a 52 year old minister and Ernestina Bierbaum, age 50; and his siblings: Theodore F. Bierbaum, age 22, a minister; Anna Bierbaum, age 17; Jonathan R. Bierbaum, age 15, a student; and, Emma L. Bierbaum, age 10.

    Residence:
    According to a biographical sketch of his brother, Rev. H. H. Bierbaum, published in 1907, Paul, also a minister, was living in Millville, Minnesota.

    Buried:
    Paul A. Bierbaum was buried in Minier Cemetery.
