Carl's obituary reports that his age at the time of death was 87 years. No date of birth was provided.

Census:
According to the 1910 U.S. enumeration, Carl Brockmeyer, age 7, lived at 3709 Chippewa Street in Ward 13 with his parents, Chas. A. Brockmeyer (age 48) and Lena Brockmeyer (age 42), married for 19 years and Carl's five siblings: Lottie Brockmeyer (age 18); John Brockmeyer (age 17); William Brockmeyer (age 15); Minnie Brockmeyer (age 13); and Mathilda Brockmeyer (age 5). Carl had not attended school since 1909 and was identified in the census as "deaf and dumb."

Census:
According to the 1920 U.S. enumeration, Charles Brockmeyer, age 16 and single, a printer, lived at 3433 Osage Street in Ward 13 with his parents, Chas. A. Brockmeyer, 56 year old head of household, and his wife, Lena, age 52, and three of Charles' siblings: Charlotte Brockmeyer (age 28); William Brockmeyer (age 25); and Mathilda Brockmeyer (age 14). Also living in the home was Joseph H. Shad, age 28, identified as a widowed son-in-law of Chas. A. Brockmeyer. Charles was identified as not having attended school since 1 September 1919, could read and write, but did not speak English.

Census:
According to the 1930 U.S. enumeration, Carl Brockmeyer, age 27, single, a press feeder in a printing company, lived at 4633 Louisiana Avenue in Ward 13 with his parents Charles A. Brockmeyer (age 68) and Lena Brockmeyer (age 62) and his brother, William Brockmeyer (age 35).

Buried:
Burial was at Bellefontaine Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were made through Howard H. Michel Funeral Home.
